全球經濟及國際物價逐步回穩，台灣也搭上景氣復甦列車，但國際產業競爭劇烈，學者憂心美國川普政府保護主義政策走向，可能制約我國出口成長力道。但財政部認為，台灣對美商品出超未達1年順差200億美元的警戒範圍，且在服務部分仍是入超，長期有無變數仍須靜觀其變。

據財政部統計，我國對美貿易出超，自2011年的87.9億美元逐年下降，今年前11月出超44.5億美元，以資通與視聽產品占24.2％、基本金屬及其製品占15.2％與機械占11.4％，為主要前3大出口貨品。

至於川普上任後採取貿易保護主義，是否會拖累台灣出口？政大金融系教授朱浩民指出，川普選前對中國大陸態度強硬，且主打美國製造，擔心對我國出口造成直接與間接影響，但川普的主張是否為「選舉語言」？會不會造成另一隻黑天鵝？還需要再觀察。

統計處長蔡美娜則認為，台灣對美國長期以來皆是出超，但尚未達到1年順差200億美元的警戒範圍。

另外，蔡美娜表示，台灣11月出口年增率12.1％，對主要出口國家的年增率連2月全面上升，尤其對中國大陸與香港、東協、美國三大市場年增率均較上月擴大，前二者更貢獻本月出口達10個百分點。其中對中國大陸增幅近2成，為46個月以來最大增幅，對東協、美國也有約1成的年增率，分別創近41個月、21個月來的最大增幅。

蔡美娜說，主計總處預測明年全年出口成長5％，由於今年基期較低，因此預估明年第1季出口年增率表現佳，樂觀看待明年第1季維持正數，不過未來有川普保護主義政策的不確定因素，展望雖佳但仍有變數。
